PETLoves Child Safety Standards

PETLoves standards against child abuse and exploitation, reporting and escalation.

PETLoves is a pet care community whose personal accounts are intended for people aged 16 or older, not for anyone under 16. Users aged 16-17 remain minors. Protecting minors remains a mandatory safety standard for every account, profile, message, image and interaction on PETLoves.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

PETLoves prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSEA), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, solicitation, sexualization of minors, and any attempt to create, request, distribute, promote or normalize such content or conduct.

This prohibition applies to public and private areas of the service, including profiles, comments, questions, chats, images, links, professional listings and off-platform contact initiated through PETLoves.

Prevention and product controls

PETLoves uses account controls, content reporting, user blocking, moderation queues, audit records and access restrictions to reduce abuse. Image uploads are validated before remote publication. Content that is private, quarantined, rejected or deleted is not eligible for public indexing or public CDN distribution.

PETLoves may restrict features, suspend an account, remove content, preserve relevant records or permanently terminate access when a child-safety risk is detected.

Reporting in PETLoves

Users can report content or accounts from the relevant in-app action. They can also block another account. Reports are reviewed through the PETLoves moderation workflow and are not shown publicly to the reported user.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services or competent law-enforcement authority first.

Enforcement and escalation

PETLoves reviews reported material and may remove or quarantine content, disable sharing, restrict or close accounts, preserve evidence where legally required and cooperate with competent authorities.

When PETLoves becomes aware of apparent CSAM or child exploitation, it will make the reports required by applicable Italian and European Union law and, where legally applicable to the service and circumstances, to the relevant national or international reporting body. PETLoves does not conduct vigilante investigations and does not ask users to retain illegal material.
