PETLoves Trust and Safety Policy
Community safety, moderation, reporting and protections on PETLoves.
Text revision: 2026-09-08
PETLoves is a pet community and care platform. Trust and Safety protects pets, people, professionals and local places while keeping the experience warm, useful and respectful.
Community standards
PETLoves does not allow:
- harassment, threats, bullying, hate, discrimination or intimidation;
- scams, impersonation, fake professional claims or misleading service offers;
- animal cruelty, unsafe pet treatment or encouragement of harm;
- explicit private information, documents, private addresses or unauthorized photos/videos;
- spam, manipulation, fake reviews or deceptive sponsored content;
- copyright, trademark, image-right, credential or other intellectual property violations;
- emergency, medical or legal claims that could put pets or people at risk;
- attempts to evade blocks, moderation limits, review integrity systems or account safety controls.
User-generated content safeguards
PETLoves includes posts, stories, comments, questions, answers, reviews, alerts, meetups, professional content and public previews. Every public content type should support at least one clear safety path:
- prevent or filter clearly prohibited material before or immediately after publication where automated or rule-based controls are available;
- report content or behavior;
- delete own content where applicable;
- block or limit abusive users when backend accounts are active;
- hide or remove content after review;
- escalate urgent safety, privacy or animal welfare cases;
- preserve audit evidence when a case requires legal, platform or store-review follow-up.
Blocking and account limits
When backend accounts are active, users should be able to block unwanted contact. PETLoves may also limit chat, comments, tags, reviews, sponsor visibility, professional profile visibility or community publishing for accounts that repeatedly abuse the service.
Blocks and restrictions should be logged for audit and may include an appeal path through support.
Reporting
Users can report:
- abusive or offensive content;
- animal safety concerns;
- misleading professional claims;
- privacy violations;
- fake reviews or spam;
- unsafe alert reports;
- suspicious sponsor or booking behavior;
- copyright, trademark, image-right or other intellectual property concerns;
- illegal, dangerous or policy-violating media.
Reports should be reviewed by priority:
- Critical: immediate safety risk, threats, animal cruelty, doxxing, severe privacy exposure.
- High: fraud, professional misrepresentation, repeated abuse, unsafe medical advice.
- Normal: spam, duplicate content, low-quality reviews, unclear claims.
Moderation actions
Depending on the case, PETLoves may:
- remove or hide content;
- request edits or additional evidence;
- limit sharing or visibility;
- warn a user or professional;
- restrict access to community features;
- suspend sponsored content or professional visibility;
- block repeated unwanted contact;
- preserve records for audit, legal or store review purposes.
Every moderation decision should be connected to a report ID, reviewer, action, timestamp, severity, SLA and outcome before public community launch.
Reporter identity, contact details and free-text safety context should be redacted from public/user-facing views and shown only to authorized moderation/admin reviewers. Audit logs must preserve enough evidence for safety, appeals, store review and legal follow-up without exposing reporter PII unnecessarily.
PETLoves must maintain a live moderation procedure before public launch: incoming reports are triaged by priority, critical safety/privacy cases are escalated first, repeated abuse can trigger account or feature limits, and users can contact support@petloves.it for appeals, privacy concerns or urgent safety review.
Pet health and emergencies
Questions, answers, diary suggestions and emergency profiles are informational. PETLoves may show safety prompts for urgent health words and should direct users to veterinarians, clinics or emergency services when needed.
Alert safety
Lost, found and danger alerts should contain helpful details without exposing private data or encouraging confrontation. Users should not use Alert to accuse, harass or publish private addresses.
Professional profiles
Professional profiles must be accurate about category, services, address/area, qualifications, prices, availability, public business details, photos and videos. Misleading claims, unsafe services, fake media or fake reviews may be limited or removed.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content must be labeled and should not be excessive or misleading. Paid visibility does not guarantee quality, safety, certification or availability, and must not suppress safety warnings or review integrity signals.
Appeals and corrections
Users and professionals may contact support to request review, correction or appeal of a moderation decision. PETLoves may ask for context or evidence before restoring content.
Appeals should be reviewed by a second reviewer for critical or high-impact actions when feasible, especially account restrictions, professional visibility changes, content removal disputes and pet safety reports.
Contact
Report safety issues, abuse, privacy concerns or moderation questions to support@petloves.it.
